Main Failures of other PRP Kits

Taking Blood :

One of the main problems with other PRP Kits is the way patients' blood is drawn.It is essential that the right needle gauge is used; because blood passes through the needle with tremendous turbulence, which causes the de-granulizing of the platelets vesicle sacs that carry the growth factors inside. For the best PRP result, the recommended needle gauge should be 19 or larger; resulting in proper collection of Whole Blood that carries the highest number of healthy platelets.

Syringe/vacuum-Tube :

The next problem with ordinary PRP Kits that use a syringe to draw patients' blood, is from one side, the ever-presence of Negative Vacuum Pressure that causes further trauma to platelet cell walls (a condition also known as Apoptosis). From the other side, in some cases, when blood is transferred into the kit, the Positive Pressure inside of the syringe will continue its destruction of additional healthy platelet cells. In case of using vacuum tubes, not only negative vacuum pressure will destroy healthy platelet cells, it will forcefully crash Whole Blood against the tube walls, adding further damage to the platelet cells.

Centrifugation :

The next problem for platelet enrichment process using common tubes, happens during centrifugation. During this process the heavy and denser Red Blood Cells migrate away from the access of rotation (due to centrifugal force), while majority of the platelet cells crash into the red blood cells and/or are pushed back, ultimately settling on the bottom of the narrow tube. What makes matters worse is that majority of the PRP Kit Centrifuge Machines have fixed rotor heads and do not swing out. In such machines, the force of damage is much potent, because blood elements are constantly crashing against the tube wall, minimizing the chance of platelet cells' survival to almost none.

Contamination :

The next problem with other PRP Kits is the high risk of Contamination; because for each time patient's blood is transmitted from syringes or vacutainer into PRP Kit, the risk of contamination is increased.
